The ski areas are very well organised in Chamonix and every one of the base stations have substantial car parks. Most of them are free to use, however Les Brévents has a nominal daily parking fee. The biggest car park in Chamonix is at Les Grand Montets Argentière which is one of the best ski areas in the world for on piste and for off piste skiing. We recommend that you hire or bring a car when you come to Chamonix as there are 5 independent ski areas that are unconnected.
